Working with local organizations and programs means we can help support a community we can be proud of.
Each year the volunteers of Dreams Take Flight Calgary raise funds to take up to 156 children on the “trip of a lifetime” to Disneyland for one day. Deserving children who have encountered challenges in their life, be it medical, mental, physical, social, or emotional, are given the opportunity to step outside their everyday challenges and experience a day all about them. Dreams Take Flight prides themselves on being able to stretch children’s minds because “one’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions” (Oliver Wendell Holmes, Dreamstakeflight.ca/about). Young Energy is proud to take part in raising funds and contributing to this incredible organization. We are happy to help support this organization as it continues to make an incredible and impactful difference in the lives of tens of thousands of children across Canada.
4-H Alberta is a dynamic youth development program that aims to inspire, educate, and develop both urban and rural youth. The organization teaches important life skills and various projects ranging from the traditional agriculture-based programs to photography, archery, or even LEGO. Young Energy sees the value in developing important life skills in youth and is happy to support local clubs and members.
During uncertain times, Young Energy sees the importance of supporting the most vulnerable in our community. The Mustard Seed’s mission is to provide a safe and supportive place for individuals experiencing problems associated with poverty and homelessness and to give them the chance to heal and build a better life. Being able to provide services to aid in supporting this organization during a time of need has been extremely important for Young Energy.
At Young Energy, we believe in supporting Canada’s western heritage. That is why we have been a regular supporter of the chuckwagon drivers of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association since 2015. Through our involvement as a tarp sponsor, Young Energy has been able to help chuckwagon drivers and their team of equine athletes achieve excellence on and off the track.
